Surface Preparation

Surface Preparation
Metal
Ensure that the surface is dry, clean and free from impurities like oil, grease, loose rust and cracked or flaked paint
Sand the surface with #180 Sandpaper and ensure that no loose particles are present before priming. Wipe the surface clean
Wood
The raw wooden surface to be coated should be clean, dry, free from moisture, dampness and other contamination
Sand the surface using #80 Sandpaper, followed by grit sizes #120, #150, #180 and #220 Sandpaper
This step wise approach leads to a very smooth surface
Always sand in the direction of the wood grain. This step wise process is applicable only for hard wood. Start with #220 Sandpaper for Veneer/ Plywood

Application Procedure
Metal
Apply 2 coats SPEP Primer Grey with an interval of 4-6 hours between subsequent coats either by spray or brush
The primed surface can be sanded using #220 Sandpaper after 10-12 hours of drying.
Appropriate filler to be used for filling dents and imperfections which should then be sanded and primed again.
Apply 2 coats of Specta Glossy/Stain shede with an interval of 6-7 hours by brush or spray.
Wood
Apply 2 to 3 coats of MRF Vapocure paints Wood Primer with an interval of 5-6 hours between subsequent coats.
Sanding should be done prior to application of Topcoat.
#400 Sandpaper can be used for sanding after 10-12 hours of drying.
Apply 2 coats of Specta Glossy/Stain shede with an interval of 6-7 hours by brush or spray.

Surface Preparation
The raw wooden surface to be coated should be clean, dry, free from moisture ,dampness and other contamination
For hard wood, sand the surface using Sandpaper #80, followed by Sandpapers #120, #150, #180 and #220
For Veneer ply surfaces,start with Sandpaper #220
Always sand in the direction of the wood grain

Apply 2 to 3 coats of WoodCoat Ultra Interior Sealer white with an interval of 2 hrs between the subsequent coats. Sanding should be done prior to the application of each coat
Sandpaper #220 can be used for the first coat and Sandpaper #400 can be used for the second and third coats, number of coats of sealer required varies from 2 to 3 depending on the absorption of wood
Apply 2 coats of either WoodCoat Ultra Interior High Gloss White / Matt White depending on the requirement, with an interval of 5 hrs between subsequent coats. Sanding of the first coat shall be done using Sandpaper #600 or #1000
WoodCoat Ultra Other Shades
Apply one coats of WoodCoat Ultra Interior Sealer white followed be 2 to 3 coats of WoodCoat Ultra Interior coloured sealer (tinted) with an interval of 2 hrs between the subsequent coats
Sandpaper #220 shall be used for the first coat and Sandpaper #400 shall be used for subsequent coats
Apply 2 coats of either WoodCoat Ultra Interior High Gloss Clear / Matt Clear depending on the requirement, with an interval of 5 hrs between subsequent coats. Sanding of the first coat shall be done using Sandpaper #600 or #1000
