- Ensure that the surface is clean and free from dampness, dirt and other contamination.
- Sand the surface using #180 sandpaper and clean thoroughly. Ensure that no loose particles are sticking to the wall.
- Freshly plastered surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. The coating process can be started after a minimum period of 30 days.
- Ensure that fresh walls are coated with one to two coats of white cement before initiating the painting process.
- Apply 2 coats of Campus Exterior Emulsion with an interval of 4 to 5 hours between subsequent coats.
- Sanding of the first coat of top coat can be done with #600 sandpaper
- The number of coats of top coat depends on the chosen colour
- Darker shades may require additional coats

About Campus Shine Emulsion
Campus Shine is the high-sheen version of Campus, MRF Paints’ budget-range, water-based acrylic emulsion for exterior walls. It has high opacity to hide imperfections, is washable and low in odour, and gives a shiny finish at an affordable cost. It is GreenPro certified and carries a 4-year performance warranty.
It is available in 1,110 Nebula shades.

FAQs
Which primer should I use with Campus Shine?
2 coats of MRF Exterior Wall Primer or Sello 2-in-1 Wall Primer, 3-4 hours apart. Level uneven walls with MRF Vilasa Wall Putty between the primer coats, and scuff the second primer coat with emery No. 320 before painting.
How many coats of Campus Shine do I need?
Two coats, 4-5 hours apart. Darker shades may need an extra coat.
How much does one litre cover?
About 55-60 sq ft per litre for two coats, according to the MRF data sheet. Coverage depends on the application method and how absorbent the wall is.
What is the difference between Campus and Campus Shine?
Both are MRF’s budget exterior emulsions. Campus Shine has a high-sheen, shiny finish; Campus has a standard finish.
What if the wall has algae or fungus?
Clean the affected area completely with Bio-wash before you start, then sand with #180 and remove all loose particles.
Does Campus Shine have a warranty?
